Our History
Founding the Organisation
During the Covid-19 pandemic, a group of community members saw a need for a food bank in our area. They banded together to create Horton Bank Top Community Foodbank , which started as a small pantry serving just a handful of families.
Expansion and Growth
Over the years, the food bank has grown to become a leading food bank in our neighborhood. We now serve over 5,000 emergency food packs each year.
Addressing Food Insecurity
We are committed to addressing the root causes of hunger and poverty in our community. We work with local organisations to provide fitness classes, organise hiking trips and provide various educational classes.
